Administrative Stay Issued in Rhode v. Becerra

Ninth Circuit Issued Administrative Stay In Rhode v. Becerra, But It Is Not Over Yet

 

April 28, 2020- Late on Friday night the Ninth Circuit issued an administrative stay in response to the emergency request to stay the federal court’s preliminary injunction that initially allowed ammunition restrictions to be lifted.

Why is an administrative stay significant? Because it means that the Court wants more time to figure out how to rule on the State’s emergency motion against the preliminary injunction. Our attorneys are now working on a plan to oppose that administrative stay and to dismiss the emergency request  in the coming days.
