Take Action: Support AB 757 Today!
Next week, on Tuesday, April 4, the Assembly Public Safety Committee will be discussing AB 757. It is critical that you contact the members of the committee and tell them that they must approve this bill!
If passed and signed into law, AB 757 would define “good cause” for purposes such as self-defense, defending the life of another, or preventing crime in which human life is threatened. This bill would also provide procedural guidelines to the issuing authority on determining the presence or absence of “good cause.”
This bill, which has been sponsored by Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez, is greatly needed, as many counties have determined that self-defense and protection of others is not “good cause” to receive a CCW permit. We must change this mishandling of your Second Amendment rights and ensure that you can protect yourself, your family, and friends!
