As the CALIFORNIA Rifle & Pistol Association, our focus, naturally, is on the Golden State. And there’s certainly plenty to keep us busy here.
But as we reiterate time and again, the fate of our Second Amendment rights is a NATIONAL issue. Cases move forward across the country challenging unwieldy restrictions on firearms, ammo, and gun shows, while imposing new taxes, fees, and requirements (aka impediments) to the exercise of the right to bear arms.
In the end, as they’ve done before, the Supreme Court will need to weigh in, and soon they might just do so. But what does the landscape of these cases look like as we wait for that moment? How are gun control advocates defending their attempts at skirting Bruen?
