Legislature Takes Aim at Hunting and 2nd Amendment Groups

March 22, 2018

Anti-gun legislators in Sacramento are going on the offensive against pro-Second Amendment groups. AB 3199 (Holden, D) recently introduced a bill that aims to outlaw any organization from raffling firearms. This bill would prohibit organizations like CRPA from offering a firearm as a prize.

This is a direct attack on pro-Second Amendment groups, like CRPA and NRA; as well as on and conservation groups like California Waterfowl, Ducks Unlimited, and National Wild Turkey Federation, who use firearm raffles to fundraise in opposition to unconstitutional anti-gun and anti-hunting measures.

We are being targeted; by eliminating firearms raffles, gun-ban politicians are attempting to silence our opposition to their ludicrous policies.

AB 3199 will do nothing to reduce crime in this state. Its sole purpose is to constrain organizations dedicated to protecting the legal right to own a firearm for hunting and self-protection. We need your help to stop this bill. Contact your representative and tell them to vote against this unwarranted attack.
