New From CRPA TV: Anna Barvir Talks About The Emergency Application To SCOTUS
Last night, CRPA filed an emergency application with the Supreme Court asking for a stay of the mandate handed down recently by the Ninth Circuit in the case of B&L Productions v. Newsom, our challenge to California’s ban on gun shows taking place on state property.
This afternoon, attorney Anna Barvir, who drafted the application, joined CRPA TV host Kevin Small to discuss this latest move in the case. Ms. Barvir also recounts the circuitous path of this case and, more broadly, the state’s long-standing effort to eradicate gun shows as part of its overall attack on “gun culture”.

The emergency application takes issue with the Ninth Circuit’s ruling on First and Second Amendment as well as Equal Protection grounds, and points out how the ruling conflicts with the Supreme Court’s own edicts under Bruen. As such, the application continues, there is at least a “reasonable probability that four Justices will consider the issue[s] sufficiently meritorious to grant certiorari.”
We all know states like California have gone too far with vindictive legislation in the wake of the Bruen decision. Join us in fighting back!
