CRPA’s ESSENTIAL Class For New Gun Owners

The surge of firearm ownership during the COVID-19 pandemic was well documented, with well over 1 million California residents becoming gun owners in just a matter of months. Rising crime, both nationally and in California, does little to stem the rate of growth in new gun owners.
At the core of CRPA’s mission for nearly 150 years now is the goal of ensuring the lawful gun owners have the training to store, clean, skillfully use, and responsibly care for their firearms. Our training staff boasts decades of experience in a wide variety of disciplines and continually strive to develop programs that meet the needs of our members and also the public at large.
In that spirit, we are particularly excited to announce our Guide to Firearms Ownership course, the next installment of which takes place Wednesday, November 6th. This fact-paced, information-packed session provides a comprehensive understanding of specific firearm types, shooting basics, and safety fundamentals including knowledge of firearm parts and operation, ammunition fundamentals, firearm storage, range safety and etiquette, cleaning and maintenance. In short, all the basics of responsible gun ownership in one two-hour course. And you take home both a certificate of completion and CRPA’s Guide to Firearm Basics book.
