SB 53 – Ammunition Permit Bill Defeated!
In a narrow victory, at 3:00 am on Saturday morning, the CRPA Lobbyist Tom Pedersen worked to defeat the contentious SB 53 Ammunition Permit bill!
Pedersen and Ed Worley, with the NRA, worked all night to defeat this legislation. It was a narrow victory with the bill coming to the floor as the final bill of the session. Your lobbyist was there the entire time making sure that this bill died and did not move forward. Protecting our member rights until the end!
If there is an opportunity to say “Thank You” to your elected officials for voting against this ill-conceived bill, please take a moment to call them.
Now we have to work together to ask the Governor to VETO the legislation that is coming before him: AB 1014, AB AB 1609, SB 199, SB 808!
