Purpose Of Legislation: This bill would establish a new fee for a lifetime hunting license that would be adjusted annually by the Fish and Game Commission according to the inflation index. It would also allow for the establishment of civil penalties for Fish and Game Code offenses where local authorities declined to prosecute violators. The bill is linked to the DFG Strategic Vision Plan and has other related provisions. (AB 2402 is also an implementation bill for the Strategic Vision Plan).
