Governor Brown Signs Another Anti-firearm Bill

Today, Governor Jerry Brown, again, decided that turning law-abiding gun owners into criminals is more important than making the public safer by signing AB 857.

The full text of the bill and our veto request letter to the Governor can be found below:

AB 857 – (Cooper) Ghost Gun AB 857 will require a person to get a serial number from DOJ before making or assembling a gun. Retroactively requires serial numbers to be placed on many firearms dating back to 1899. To read our veto letter to the Governor, click here

CRPA is immensely disappointed with the actions that the Governor took today, but is more resolved than ever to continue the fight in preserving our Second Amendment rights!

This fight is just beginning and CRPA is currently preparing its plan to combat not only this bill and the rest of the draconian pieces of legislation signed by the Governor, but also continuing the fight against Gavin Newsom and his insidious initiative.

CRPA is currently preparing a full legal analysis of each bill to help you become fully versed in each of the bills signed into law by the Governor. This will be available in our online store at no cost and you will receive an alert once it is available.
