Call To Action: FFL Inspections Should Be Left To The Professionals, Not Politicians

January 15, 2018

Tomorrow, the CA Senate Committee on Appropriations will vote on SB 459. This bill aims to create mandatory inspections of firearms dealers every two years, even though DOJ can already inspect them whenever they want to.

With over 3000 licensed dealers in California, the increased rate of inspection will place a massive strain on an already overburdened DOJ. Coping with this will likely require the department to increase staff and costs.

CRPA has submitted an opposition letter to this pointless bill, but we need your help. Contact the members of the committee today and tell them to vote no on this unnecessary unfunded mandate! Inspections should be left to the professionals, not politicians. Thank you for your support!
