AB 1134 – Firearms: Concealed Firearm Licenses

CRPA’s Position: Oppose

Summary: Current law allows a person residing in a city to apply to the sheriff or the local police chief for a CCW.  This bill would allow the sheriff to require a city resident to apply only to the police chief and would take away the right of a city resident to apply directly to their elected sheriff for a CCW.
