Help Save California Jobs

March 19, 2018

Currently, companies that manufacture suppressors are prevented from selling and transporting their product to any customer (including law enforcement and allied nations) outside of California. AB 1958 will allow companies like SureFire LLC. To continue to sell and transport suppressors to out of state customers without fear of prosecution.

Without AB 1958, companies like SureFire LLC. would be forced to move their manufacturing operations out of California. This would mean jobs lost for their dedicated California employees, including 27 veterans and 6 disabled veterans, all of whom have families.

According to tax records, the loss of SureFire LLC would result in a total estimated economic loss of $11,270,000 for the state and would lead to hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost tax revenue.

CRPA would like to thank Assembly member Quirk-Silva for spearheading this legislative initiative to protect California businesses and jobs.

Contact the Assembly Committee on Public Safety and urge them to vote yes on AB 1958; tell them they must vote to save California jobs. Thank you for your support.
