CRPA Statement on Capital Gazette Tragedy

June 29, 2018

CRPA’s members condemn Thursday’s act of insane violence in Maryland. Our hearts go out to the victims of this senseless tragedy, and we mourn the loss of innocent lives. We commend the quick response from local law enforcement. But considering the time it took for the insane murderer to break in and hunt down his defenseless victims, we wonder whether things might have been different if someone with defensive training had been allowed a firearm. The California Rifle & Pistol Association offers preparatory defensive training, and encourages the safe, legal use of firearms to defend and save lives.
