As reported this morning, CRPA’s challenge to California’s draconian ammo regulatory scheme received a huge boost with the filing of amicus briefs from not only the federal Department of Justice, but also a coalition of 26 states.

The case, Rhode v. Bonta, is currently slated to be heard before and en banc panel of Ninth Circuit judges in mid-March. This is just the latest step in a roller-coaster ride that has been ongoing since Prop. 63 was passed in 2017. The en banc review was requested by the state in reaction to a big win for CRPA last July.
