While the Court took up only the specific issue of the “vampire rule”, the way in which the majority reached their decisions, and the reasoning illuminated in their opinions, provide for impacts well beyond that issue.
At a bare minimum, CRPA’s May v. Bonta challenge to California’s “sensitive places” law is very much renewed by this ruling. We’ll be taking steps immediately to get May right back in play in the Ninth Circuit!
