Newsom Sues Trump

Gov. Gavin Newsom announced a special legislative session last fall to direct more taxpayer money to “protect California values” from the Trump administration. Trump was weeks away from even being sworn in, but Newsom knew he’d want money to file a lawsuit.

It’s hardly surprising then to see that Newsom announce a lawsuit against the federal government. While the subject of the suit is tariffs, anything Newsom does in these politically charged times has ripple effects elsewhere.
