Matt Corwin, CRPA Board Member Profile

Matthew Corwin has more than 15 years of business management, legal services, and information technology experience. He has a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Irvine, and a B.S. in Business Management from Cal State LA.

In the past, he has served as CEO of CalPOP, a Los Angeles based Internet Service Provider, Datacenter and CLEC Carrier. At CalPOP he brought to bear a rich background of business information systems and management knowledge, improving business and infrastructure efficiency while acting as liaison between the company’s board of directors and outside legal counsel. He has applied his knowledge and experience while consulting for major corporations and non-profit enterprises throughout the world. Matthew’s dynamic corporate vision has helped CalPOP and many other companies remain at the forefront in IT/Telecom product offerings, business efficiency, and the data center services market

His professional career also includes serving on active duty in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps, as well as Army Reserve service as an instructor. Matthew has served as an expert witness on IT related matters in trials in the Los Angeles Superior Courts, as well as serving as a trial consultant. He has worked as a law clerk for civil rights and firearms law firm Michel and Associates, and also clerked for Judge Di Cesare on the Orange County Superior Court. He is active in a variety of civic and cultural organizations including NPI, the Public Law Center of Orange County, the Orange County Women Lawyers Association, the Al Meyerhoff Public Interest Fellows program, and the Public Interest Law Fund. He also restores and rides motorcycles, is a published author, holds a Master Diver diving certification and enjoys traveling and diving in exotic locations around the world.
