Information On Upcoming NRA Board Elections
Attention CRPA Members:
The NRA is currently in the process of determining who will be on the ballot for election to the NRA Board of Directors this year. We are writing to make CRPA members aware of this important process and how you may want to participate in it.
Generally, the best and easiest way to be considered for a position on the NRA Board of Directors is to be put on the ballot by the NRA Nominating Committee. Candidates who are not chosen to be on the ballot by the Nominating Committee can seek a position on the ballot by petition.
CRPA has been contacted by several of the petition candidates to the NRA Board who are attempting to be placed on the ballot of the NRA Board of Directors through the petition process.
In response to several ongoing lawsuits, the NRA has made positive changes to the way the NRA operates and its oversight. The petitioning individuals generally claim to be motivated to make more positive operational changes to make the NRA the most well managed, effective and influential organization that it can possibly be.
The CRPA Board of Directors determined it was important to make sure that CRPA members, who may also be members of the NRA, are informed about this process, know how to access information on the petition candidates, and have the opportunity to choose whether to sign and submit petitions should they choose to support any of the petition candidates seeking a place on the NRA Board election ballot.

Signed petitions should be sent to:
Frontier Truck Gear c/o Rocky Marshall, P.O. Box 277, Center Point, TX 78010-0277 by September 30, 2024.
If you are going to submit a signature for the petition candidates, please make sure to follow the guidelines:
- Not more than 5 petition candidates from any one state.
- Petitions must be submitted to the Secretary only by the candidate.
- All petitions must be signed in original handwritten signatures, names, membership number, address and date of signing.
- Member numbers can be obtained by calling NRA membership at 800.672.3888 or 866.672.3000 or email: membership@nrahq.org.
- Threshold for acceptance is 0.5% (398 petitions) of the valid ballot cast in the most recent election (79,557 valid ballots).
- The goal for petitions is 650 per candidate to allow for attrition due to ineligible petition signers.
- Petition Signers: NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 30,2024
PLEASE NOTE THAT PETITION SIGNATURES MUST BE SUBMITTED NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 30th TO THE ADDRESS LISTED ABOVE.
NRA MEMBERS COMPLETING THE PETITION SIGNATURES MUST BE NRA LIFE MEMBERS OR 5+ YEARS OF UNINTERRUPTED ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP.
