New From CRPA TV: En Banc For May v. Bonta?
As we reported over the weekend, CRPA filed a motion for an en banc rehearing of the case of May v. Bonta in the wake of a mixed ruling handed down earlier this month.
After that initial decision, attorney Kostas Moros joined CRPA TV to discuss it’s ups and downs and pointed to last Friday as the deadline for a decision on whether to seek an en banc hearing. Today, he joins host Kevin Small again, this time to break down the latest motion in the case and what comes next.

The case challenges the “sensitive places” provisions of SB 2, a bill authored by noted gun control advocate Sen. Anthony Portantino and signed into law by Gov. Gavin Newsom in the aftermath of the Bruen decision. The bill creates overlapping swaths of the state wherein a CCW is rendered useless.
By now, we all know well how anti-gun forces pursue their agenda post-Bruen: wordsmithing and clever schemes designed not to directly denounce the Second Amendment, but rather to subject the right to costly, confusing, and complex restrictions that render it nearly impossible to exercise.
The effort would be laughable if not for its seriousness. When cases like this make even minimal progress, it emboldens other judges and makes the job that much harder, not to mention longer.
Thanks to all who have strongly supported our efforts thus far! We MUST keep up the fight!
