CRPANews: County Bans Recreational Shooting on Federal Land

December 10, 2018

Last week, San Diego County Board of Supervisors finally made their decision whether they would ban recreational shooting on BLM land that fell within San Diego County.

Unfortunately, they decided to move forward with the ban. This decision is in violation of the Supremecy CLause since the federal government determines the proper use of federal lands and not local jurisdictions. In other words, San Diego County is in way over their head. The county is attempting to control federal land usage in a way that conflicts with the intended purpose and use of those lands.

San Diego County Supervisors are telling citizens they cannot exercise their Second Amendment rights on federal lands.

We will all see how this holds up in a court of law.
