OC Fair Board Votes to Keep Gun Shows in 2020!

WIN! We prevailed once again! In a 5-1 vote, the Orange County Fair Board voted to keep gun shows at the OC Fair Grounds in 2020. Because of CRPA’s activism, fifteen supporters of the First and Second Amendment spoke on behalf of keeping the gun shows – and we spooked the opposition: not a single person was there in opposition of these family-friendly events.

“We’re pleased with the decision the board made regarding gun shows in 2020. These are family-friendly events that have been going on for more than 30 years. We feel the board made the right decision in continuing the gun shows,”said Tiffany Cheuvront, Michel and Associates & counsel for Crossroads of the West Gun Shows

Today is a great win for freedom! Gun shows will continue in Orange County thanks to CRPA members and 2A supporters.

Gun shows are still a target across the state, though. The only vote opposing the tradition of gun shows in Orange County came from OC Board Member Ashleigh Aitken, who has stated that she has plans to push state-level legislation against gun shows. As always, CRPA will keep a watchful eye to make sure your First and Secondment rights are protected.
