CRPA Supports More Amicus Cases in California- Presumption of Innocence

CRPA does not just put forward our own cases; we are always looking to help with cases that add to good judicial precedent begin set across the country.

Just this week, CRPA joined other national groups like the Second Amendment Law Center, the Rutherford Institute, and Cato Institute to submit an Amicus Brief in support of a case that will determine if courts have the right to strip someone of their Second Amendment rights because they have been accused of a crime. The ability of a court to demand that an individual give up their firearms as a condition of pretrial release is a violation of the Constitution and “presumed innocent until PROVEN guilty.”
