BREAKING: Ninth Circuit Stays Ruling in Rhode v. Bonta

In tonight’s very brief ruling granting a stay in the case of Rhode v. Bonta, the dissenting opinion perfectly captures the why the ruling is so absurd: “I do not believe appellant (AG Rob Bonta representing the state) has met his burden of showing a likelihood of success on the merits…”, wrote Judge Callahan.
In just a sentence, the Ninth Circuit wiped out the lengthy, well reasoned ruling issued by Judge Benitez negating the state’s onerous restrictions on ammunition purchases. The case continues, as discussed in a special edition of CRPA TV just released tonight after the ruling was handed down.
