Trump Joins CRPA’s CCW Reckoning Project
As you all know, CRPA has long fought for CCW rights in California, efforts we redoubled in the aftermath of the Bruen decision, which laid out a standard that jurisdictions all across the country should follow. Endless delays, “good cause” exceptions, and excessive fees no longer stand.
And yet, anti-2A cities and counties dug in their heels, requiring ever more meticulous follow up and, in places like LA County, even a lawsuit. Well that lawsuit just got garnered a big supporter.
Late this week, the Department of Justice announced an investigation into the LA County Sheriff’s Department quoting CRPA’s lawsuit which challenges the department’s (among other things) the department’s absurdly long delays. This comes on the heels of Trump’s Executive Order mandating that DOJ “assess any ongoing infringements of the Second Amendment.” We are thrilled that the Trump Administration is joining this fight!
CRPA’s CCW Reckoning Project will roll on until we’ve achieved Bruen-compliant CCW processes in every corner of California.
