Staff is working with TPUSA in Sacramento area. This is a focus of both our grassroots & Advocacy Departments (Kevin Small) and our Legislative/Elections Department. We will be posting next week on this item.

Capitol is on recess this week so there is no staff to coordinate with. We are looking at legislative deadlines and are thinking of Wednesday August 20th. It will not be as large as the April event for the following reasons-

1. Short session before final voting and no meetings.
2. We will be targeting key offices/votes.

We are already planning for 2026 for a February WAVE Capitol Day and our standard Capitol Day in April.

Theodore this is a great question. We are working to obtain the range lists of participants for that very reason. Unfortunately, ranges don’t always obtain and provide that information. We are working the process out and eventually we should have ranges and CRPA on the same page. We will be happy to forward what we obtain from the Sacramento ranges or any other range for any chapter. One of the goals in any event is building the community!!!

Capitol Day Training

Monday March 10th – 6PM – Developing Your Story – Everyone has a story that is significant. We will be introducing you to the bills and subjects we will focus on. You will learn how to convert that into an extemporaneous story of 3-5 minutes to push your point to the Member and staff in a polite way that connects with them.

This will be a 60-minute course with 20 minutes of Q&A to follow. Sign up in emails sent out to participants.

Monday March 24th – 6PM – Great Expectations – Myth and Legends of the capitol will be replaced with the facts and “How-tos” of working with the legislature to change things in a positive way. We will provide tools to work with people on opposing viewpoints.

This will be a 60-minute course with 20 minutes of Q&A to follow. Sign up in emails sent out to participants.
