In chatting with another woman who signed up for WAVE Capital Day, some details need to be shared…
What to expect: You will be on a team of a few people and visit 6-8 representatives for 15 minutes to discuss the bills that concern us.
Legislation: The bills we will be discussing are common sense. You may not have a story or be related to every bill, but that’s okay. You will find your story as you become familiar with the bills.
What to wear: Business casual – mostly business, but with comfortable shoes.
Time: We meet at 8 am near the capital and finish the day around 4 pm. There are several opportunities for lunch in the area.
Accessibility: If you have mobility issues, this is going to be a challenging day as there is a lot of walking between the offices.
Non-chapter leaders can’t easily find this forum, so I’m thinking we might need an additional page for women.
