AB 2584: Support For Self Defense In Sacramento

It is one of the most fundamental natural human rights: the right to defend oneself. Who could argue against THAT, right?

Well, last year the gun control crew in Sacramento actually tried diminishing self-defense last year with AB 1333, a bill CRPA and other 2A allies managed to quickly defeat.

This year, the news is better with the introduction of AB 2584, the Preemptive Self Defense Act of 2026. As Rick Travis explains in the the latest installment of CRPA TV, the bill, authored by Assemblyman Heath Flora, pushes back on the concepts of AB 1333 to make sure the law doesn’t punish the victims and give an unwarranted advantage to criminals.
