Victory In Bakersfield!
Last month, the Kern High School District voted to allow CCW permit holders to carry on campuses without an internal screening process. A detailed explanation of the vote can be read here.
CRPA was instrumental in this decision as we provided our new SB 707 booklets to the Kern High School District Board prior to the meeting. In these booklets, we explained the advantages of having CCW permit holders on campus and also provided a detailed explanation of the rules and restrictions that exist on CCW permit holders. Our vision in creating these booklets was to ensure student safety and CCW permit holder compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Going forward, CRPA will be actively involved with school districts throughout California to ensure that our students, parents, teachers and administrators are able to adequately protect themselves.
To assist in this new endeavor, CRPA will soon have the SB 707 booklet available in the CRPA online store. You will be notified once the booklet is available and will have the opportunity to purchase it through our website here.
Individuals who purchase booklets are encouraged to pass them out to local teachers, administrators and school board members to encourage them to allow CCW permit holders to carry on campus.
