Solano County Gun Owners: A CRPA Chapter Meeting/Stop the Bleed Course – NEW LOCATION!!!
Doors open at 6 pm. Refreshments and pizza will be provided.
The goal of Stop the Bleed is to provide you with the knowledge, skills and ability to recognize and stop life threatening bleeding if it should happen to you or someone near you.
The focus is on your immediate response to an injured victim, recognizing life threatening bleeding and then appropriate ways to stop life threatening bleeding. Similar to how the general public learns and performs CPR, anyone can learn proper bleeding control techniques such as how to use your hands, or something from your immediate environment like a t-shirt, towel or rag as well as hemostatic gauze and tourniquets. Life threatening injuries can often occur during the everyday activities of life, to include hobbies like shooting sports. The help given by an immediate bystander can often make the difference between life and death and with the right training, you can make a difference!
Anyone who may be called upon to assist with a severely injured, bleeding victim is eligible to attend this FREE training. No prior medical training is required and the class is facilitated by a graduate of the International School of Tactical Medicine and veteran of the Fire Department and Military communities. All students are given ample hands on practice time so they feel comfortable going forward with this new life saving knowledge.
