Chief Range Safety Officer Course – Davis, CA

The CRPA Chief Range Safety Officer Course educates CRSO candidates in industry standards of range safety with a California specific focus. Students will receive direct instruction from a Certified Instructor from beginning to end.

The  Range Safety Officer Basics Course is a prerequisite to the Chief Range Safety Officer course. 

CRPA Range Safety Officer courses assist individuals and range personnel in receiving the most up-to-date, qualified, straightforward training and information. Open to CRPA members and volunteers, range personnel and the public. Seats are limited.

Chief Range Safety Officer candidates will learn:

• roles and responsibilities of an RSO.
• range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• range inspection.
• range rules.
• range briefings.
• emergency procedures.
• firearm stoppages and malfunctions.

Each Chief Range Safety Officer candidate will receive an RSO Lesson Plan, a Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, and a Course Evaluation form.
