BASIC RANGE SAFETY OFFICER COURSE
Over the past year, we saw a few things happen. Due to the pandemic and state-wide shutdown, we saw ranges having to close their doors to protect our Greatest Generation of Range Safety Officer’s (RSO’s). Meanwhile, California saw a huge influx in new gunowners that went on to seek out places to train and become educated, knowledgeable and comfortable with their new firearm. RSO’s were in high-demand then, and they are in high-demand now by ranges, shooting groups, and lawful gunowners.
Not only do RSO’s help reduce the potential for personal injury and property damage, they often have responsibility to take immediate action when circumstances require it. RSO’s should be experienced shooters, involved in many aspects of target shooting, training and range supervisions. We encourage active members of the shooting sport community to learn more and become more responsible for the safety of fellow shooters through this training.
As responsibly armed citizens, recreational shooters, hunters and enthusiasts, we must always be proactive in our training and safety practices. In celebration of National Shooting Sports Month…. we hope that you join us in being safe, shooting straight, and having fun.
