CRPA Salutes 2020 U.S. Olympic Shooting Team and Athletes

The CRPA Board of Directors salutes the United States Olympic Shooting Team for their performance in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games; the best performance since the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo.

Through an incredibly difficult year to train and prepare for the Games under pandemic conditions, we commend these athletes for encouraging each other during the qualifying events as well as the final. As California’s oldest Second Amendment organization, we value our nation’s hunting and shooting heritage and are dedicated to the preservation of our nation’s shooting tradition. We look forward to seeing these athletes both in future Olympic and world events.

Amber English, of the United States, holds her gold medal after setting an Olympic record in Women’s Skeet with 56 hits at the Asaka Shooting Range in Tokyo.

Maddy Bernau & Brian Burrows shot their way to bronze in the first-ever Olympic Trap Mixed Team competition, adding to the best performance of the USA Shooting Team since 1964.

William Shaner, of the United States, holds his gold medal on after the Men’s 10-Meter Air Rifle at the Asaka Shooting Range, setting a new Olympic Record of 251.6 as the youngest USA Shooting athlete to medal in an Olympic rifle event.

Vincent Hancock, of the United States, holds his gold medal for his performance in the Men’s Skeet event shooting 59 out of a possible 60 targets, setting a new Olympic record at Tokyo 2020.

Mary Tucker & Lucas Kozeniesky, of the United States, shot their way to silver in the 10-Meter Air Rifle Mixed Team event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Kayle Browning, reeled off 19 straight hits solidifying her silver medal in Women’s Trap at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and is internationally ranked as 2021 ISSF Number Nine in Women’s Trap.
