Competitive Shooting Programs
CRPA has been hosting and sponsoring recreational and competitive matches for decades across all of California. CRPA supports other organizations that get more people out there pulling triggers and having fun as well as certify our own discipline state championship matches across the state.
These events provide a forum to teach members and the public about firearms, gun law politics, and how they can have fun and get more engaged in the shooting sports. Currently the most common of matches CRPA sponsors are several rifle silhouette state championships.
Competitive shooting has been described as the one sport where the objective is to remain as still as possible. It takes focus and determination and the best thing is that anyone can do it! It’s also said that shooting is mostly a mental game. It is one of the few sports where women and juniors compete with men on a truly equal basis. As women and minority shooters becoming more engaged in the sport is on the rise, they help breed competition for the future of the shooting sports.
CRPA celebrates the increase of competitors each year getting out to shoot and compete and we look forward to providing more opportunities and programs for competitors.
Some of the sponsored shooting competitions by CRPA include but are not limited to:
- High Power
- Black Powder Cartridge Rifle
Clubs wishing to host a state championship in any discipline should review the Standard Operating Procedures found at the bottom of this page and contact us with any questions at at firstname.lastname@example.org
