Duncan Pressing On Toward Cert
As we reported, the State of California responded (somewhat lamely) to our petition for a writ of certiorari in the case of Duncan v. Bonta. Now it’s our turn and our reply brief pointed out the weaknesses in the state’s arguments.
In the latest installment of CRPA TV, CRPA President & General Counsel stops by to break down the legal issues that the state tries to complicate to deny this historic case its rightful review by the Supreme Court. Chuck also talks about how the issues in Duncan relate to the overall fight over “people, places, and things” and the laws continually passed by anti-2A legislatures.
Several 2A cases are stacked up at SCOTUS as you read this email, and it appears as likely as ever that clarification of Bruen (and other precedents like Heller) is just around the corner.
As Chuck mentions in the video, supporting CRPA in this critical push makes you a part of history. We’ve fought long and hard to restore the fundamental rights afforded by the Second Amendment and victory is in sight.
Help us reach the finish line!
