URGENT! Act NOW To Fight Catalina Slaughter!

The Avalon City Council voted unanimously to adopt an ordinance that prohibits trapping, baiting, luring, or harming deer within Avalon city limits—reflecting overwhelming community opposition to the Catalina Island Conservancy’s deer eradication plan.

However, the Conservancy’s current pursuit of a Restoration Management Permit from the California Department of Fish & Wildlife would effectively nullify that local ordinance and allow for the slaughter of the island’s mule deer population!
