I had some questions about AB 68. Since Bill Essayli has left the Assembly, I noticed that in the latest legislative report AB 68 is dead. However, what are the chances that either Assemblymember Gallagher or Castillo take up the bill since they are listed as sponsors, with Castillo also listed as a co-author? Are other legislators able to take over a bill in the event of something like this? Is that something that can happen in the legislature?
