I saw that certain bills have been amended for their real purpose, and I wanted to clarify the intent of AB 1006.
The bill mentions that “this bill would also treat the spouse of the recorded owner of the firearm as the recorded owner for licensing purposes.” Does this mean that the spouse of someone who owns a firearm can also use that firearm when applying for a license such as a CCW? It appears as if this is similar to the bill that was brought up a couple of months ago about guns being shared property between spouses. Also, is there anything else we should be aware of regarding this bill?
